Tides

Tides and the moon: Tides are caused by the forces of attraction exerted by the moon and the sun on the earth's water masses. When both of these bodies are aligned, the greatest rise and fall takes place (spring tides), a phenomenon that is characteristic of the San Sebastián coast during the months of September and October. These events are particularly spectacular when they coincide with fierce storms rolling in from the Bay of Biscay .
