This is a monumental Baroque building constructed by the Jesuits in the 18 th century as a seminary. Today it is the headquarters of the Catholic University . It is in front of the House of the Shells. It consists of an enormous architectural complex made up of the church, two large pavilions that initially were the living quarters for students and members of the religious community, the cloister (which is another jewel of Salamanca Baroque art), and several other buildings. The whole architectural complex, besides defining the profile of the city, is integrated into the urban fabric in a surprising way.

It is a spectacular monument that houses a temple of enormous dimensions, the Kings' beautiful cloister, Columbus 's cloister and numerous buildings today occupied by the Dominicans.
