The Cinema Office of the Venice Film Commission, operating within the Venice City Council, provides basic information about normative, bureaucratic and logistical issues. This information is useful for formulating requests for authorization to film in and around Venice .

   The Cinema Office also acts as a ‘one stop shop' for the issue of permits relating to filming for cinema or television and location-based photography, including permits regarding other public Administrations located in the City Council area. It works as a single ‘go-between' between film/TV production companies and the Territory, thus simplifying the procedure for obtaining authorization from – and communicating with – the Institutions involved.
